Volunteer Opportunities

Get Involved!

From the beginning volunteers have played a vital role in the development of our urban agriculture project. Without the help of so many individuals contributing week after week Soil Born Farms would not be what it is today. Read the descriptions below for volunteer opportunities that interest you.

You can also sign up for our newsletter (be sure to check the "volunteer updates" box) for notifications about upcoming volunteer opportunities and farm volunteer workday activities.

On the Farm

Regular volunteer work days are held every Saturday 10am to noon from May through November. You must sign up in advance to participate as we can accomodate a limited number of volunteers each week.

New volunteers should join us at 9:30am for an orientation. All volunteers must complete a waiver form to participate. Please bring closed-toe shoes, a hat, a water bottle, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Any child under the age of 15 mush be accompanied by and supervised by a parent or guardian while on farm properties. Any child between the ages of 15 and 18 will need a parent or guardian signature to volunteer but can do so without parent or guardian supervision.

You can also sign up (be sure to check the "volunteer updates" box) to be notified of farm volunteer opportunities.
