The Leadership Sacramento Class of 2012 is providing planning, designing and fundraising support for the construction of a beautiful outdoor classroom at Soil Born Farms on the historic 55-acre American River Ranch.
The completion of this outdoor classroom will enhance Soil Born Farms' existing urban agriculture and education project, empowering youth and adults to discover and participate in a local food system that encourages healthy living, nurtures the environment and grows a sustainable community.
In addition, LS12 is committed to raising awareness and funding to help in the further development of Soil Born Farms' educational programs to provide effective, long- term support.

About Leadership Sacramento
Leadership Sacramento was founded in 1985 as a program of the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, which develops community-minded business and civic leadership. It is a year-long interactive program offering 35 participants a behind-the-scenes understanding of the issues impacting the region’s economic prosperity and quality of life. The program culminates in the completion of a class project.
